Kingsmen Clinch League Tiitle

Kings Park clinched the League 5 Championship with a 13-1 win over East Hampton on Wednesday. It was the 5th league title in the past 7 years for Kings Park.
Kings Park jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the 1st after an RBI triple by Bobby Haney and an RBI ground out by Dennis Murphy. Adam Melanson's 2 out single in the 2nd made it 3-0. KP scored 9 runs in the 3rd highlighted by a Murphy 2 run home run to centerfield. Reggie Smith and Rob Brown each added 2 run doubles in the 3rd. Brown's sac fly in the 4th ended the scoring for Kings Park. Chuck Campisi and Chris Ripp each went 1-1 with pinch hits in the 5th inning.
Melanson picked up the win going 5 innings and giving up just 1 hit with 1 walk and striking out 4. Dave Sommo pitched the 6th giving up only a walk and Teddy DeKams pitched the 7th inning giving up 1 run on 1 hit and 2 walks while striking out 1.
